Recommendation from one of my longest standing clients

From:   Patry Loomis (from Boulder County, Colorado,USA)

This is what fishing in Mexico is all about!!
I have known and fished with Jorge for 5 years, starting with surf fishing. His advise about local conditions and most success lures and techniques has always been spot on. We have made trips to southern beaches and Punta de Mita area, all successful trips, red snapper, needlefish, jack's, and snook etc. If fish are about and biting Jorge will get you where the action is. I have booked him next weekend to do some kayak fishing. Good kayak's and well equipped. I would highly recommend Jorge for your Sayulita fishing adventure, either onshore or off. Tight lines! Pat

Our Most Recent Recommendation (sayuilitalife.com)

From:  Al Meiners (from Portland, Oregon, USA)

Jorge really knows salt and freshwater fishing in the greater Sayulita area of Mexico.

My wife and I have been traveling to Sayulita for more than 15 years. Each winter we camp, surf, fish, and enjoy the friendliness and warmth of the Mexican people. I have lived most of my life in Alaska and have also lived in California, Washington, Washington DC and now Portland, Oregon. I have worked for the US Forest Service, National Park Service, and have served a 27 year career as an Alaska State Park superintendent. In this work, I have met many outdoor recreation and sport fishing guides. Jorge stands out among the best. I met Jorge in a Sayulita hardware store which sold sport fishing gear which is a rarity in Mexico. I was immediately impressed with Jorge's ocean knowledge. As a surfer, boater, angler and natural history buff I would say that he qualifies as a true waterman. He is kind, friendly, and really cares about your fishing experience. He knows many forms of sport fishing, from beach and rock fishing, to kayak fishing, salt and freshwater fly fishing, and river and lake fishing. Jorge can repair fishing rods and reels and explain the area's cultural and natural history to you and your family. As a side business, he ties and sells salt and freshwater flies. I especially enjoy tying flies with Jorge and then trying them out on the many species of sport fish in the Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, and San Blas area. Give him a try, I believe that you will not be disappointed. After one fishing trip he came to our camp and prepared the fish for us, it was wonderful.

Thank you as always Al for all your support!

Awesome Kayak Fishing with Jorge!

Jorge took me and two of my sons (aged 13 and 15) kayak fishing off of Sayulita. What a day we had! The kayaks and fishing gear were top rate, and the entire experience was awesome. Our catch for the day included a skip jack and a couple of humongous Pacific crevalle jacks. Hooking a crevalle almost turns the experience into a kayaking water ski adventure -- the fish actually tows the kayak!! It took 30 minutes to land the first one and nearly 45 minutes to land the second. I can think of no better or more adventurous way to fish. And with Jorge as our guide, we were in exceptional hands. My boys and I thought he was terrific.

Amazing trip and nice Mahi Mahi! - Rob Cherry Trip

Amazing, one of a kind experience

Catching a Mahi Mahi is exciting enough, but landing one on a kayak was a truly one of a kind, amazing experience. Jorge is a true expert fisherman who has a real passion for what he does and is a great all around guy. It was definitely the highlight of my trip to Sayulita and one that I would strongly recommend to others.
